Section 243

Maintaining And Caretaking Person Entitled To Succession

Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Chapter, if
another person has maintained and taken care of the deceased
because the heir has not done so, the person who has so maintained
and taken care of shall be entitled to such succession.
